UNBE-LEAF-ABLE!

The Grade 3's find the colours of Autumn in art.
Do you enjoy the beautiful and vibrant fall colours?  Art students in Grade 3 wanted to represent this chromatic season in paint. Students examined the gorgeous artwork of the Canadian Group of Seven as well as other artists to see how they represented the colours of Autumn in art.

This inspired our artists to create their very own landscapes. Focusing on the elements of art such as colour, line and texture, artists enjoyed creating wax-relief paintings. Our students did an amazing job as you can see and had a lot of fun watching their wax illustrations repel water colour paint. Please make sure to check out these masterpieces hung proudly around the school.

I look forward to seeing more amazing creations from our students here at RHMS in the future!
