Montessori Chinese New Year Art

RHMS Montessori students joyfully celebrated the vibrant traditions of the Chinese New Year. It was a culture-rich and meaningful day filled with learning, laughter, and community spirit.

The students created a Chinese New Year bouquet art piece to celebrate the traditions and symbols of the Lunar New Year.  They designed vibrant, floral arrangements using a variety of art tools and materials, using colours that symbolize joy, luck and wealth, such as red and gold.  The children learned how flowers and decorative arrangements are often used to bring good fortune and happiness in the new year.

This activity encouraged creativity, fine motor development, and an appreciation for cultural celebrations around the world.
