Homophone Fun!

The blue bear knew that he shouldn’t have bared his teeth or blew steam out of his ears when the new baby cubs stomped on his feet.
The grade one students have been working with Homophones during their language classes. Homophones are words that are pronounced the same but they have different meanings and are usually spelled differently as well.  Everyday day the students have been sharing with the class different homophones that they have noticed within our various classes or at home.

In the spirit of the fun the students began to challenge one another to see who can find the most homophones which lead to an impromptu Homophone Challenge in class. The winning team was able to come up with 14 pairs of homophones!
