Digital Artists At Work

RHMS students create stimulating digital artwork during the after school program.

Students enrolled in Advanced Digital Media are creating some out of this world artwork! Each week, our young artists learn a different technique in order to complete a digital artwork or animation. Last class, artists followed a step-by-step lesson on how to produce a planet out of a landscape. Once the method was perfected, students could not stop creating a solar system’s worth of planetoids.

Advanced Digital Media is a premium after school program that is geared for the student who is already savvy in the creation of artwork through digital means. In this course, students learn how to extend this knowledge and obtain advanced skills in using both video and graphic design software.

RHMS offers this 9 week comprehensive course complimentary each term. It is the philosophy of the Advanced Digital Media course to be process oriented in its approach to arts education. It aims to create a supportive and nurturing environment that is geared toward building self confidence in young people. Furthermore, developing 21st century skills such as collaboration and problem solving.

I am looking forward to what these incredible artists will create next!
