Grade 3 Students Conduct Light Travelling Experiment in the Dark
RHMS Grade 3 students had a fun lesson in the dark last week where they shined a flashlight through paper barriers and tried to hit a bullseye. Students had to be good investigators as they tried various heights and positions for their light barriers. They showed great cooperation skills by listening to everyone’s suggestions for getting the light to hit the bullseye, and taking turns shining the flashlight. After experimenting, they learned that light exists and travels in straight lines. The students were so excited to hear that a future experiment in this unit would involve reflecting light with mirrors through a maze!
