Winn-Dixie Dioramas

For their final Novel Study assignment, Grade 4 students crafted individual diorama displays based on the novel, Because of Winn-Dixie. Using materials such as clay, plasticine, fabric, paint, and construction paper, they illustrated a scene depicting the character and his/her connection to one of the central themes of the book. This interactive project allowed the students to showcase their creative abilities while demonstrating a thorough knowledge of the key elements in the novel. Their presentations were very insightful and showed that the students could take important lessons away from the book. The Grade 4 classes have ended Term 1 on a clever and creative note!
