Grade 1 Students Discover Graphs and Charts in Math Lesson
Students in Ms. Anna Gerson’s Grade 1 class are excelling in Mathematics by exploring new concepts in their Data Management unit. It’s hard to believe that some of them were only Montessori students a year ago, as they are reading information from graphs and charts and learning how to make insightful comparisons. The students also demonstrated excellent group work skills as they worked patiently and collaboratively with each other to explore this new and exciting unit. They made their own tally charts using various manipulatives and even created their own 3D bar graph using Lego!
