Traversing the Solar System

Montessori Preschool Students Learn About the Planets

Today in Room 105, Montessori Preschool students researched their favourite planets and presented them to the class. Each student chose to represent their planets in unique and creative ways. Some created artwork, some brought in props, and others made 3-D models. The students shared the new things that they learned with their excited classmates, such as Jupiter has a massive storm called the great red spot, robots travel on the surface of Mars, and 71% of the Earth is covered in water. The presentations not only gave students a broader understanding of the world and universe around us, but also honed their public speaking and confidence skills.
