Grade 1 Students Adventure Through Toronto’s Casa Loma
It was a magical day for RHMS Grade 1 students when they had the opportunity to traverse Toronto’s very own castle, Casa Loma. Students had a thrilling time experiencing original Victorian living quarters and exploring secret passages while learning about the history of Sir Henry Pellatt and his family. In a mysterious 800ft underground tunnel, the children learned about the goings-on of the city in the early 20th century. They also viewed the original horse stables and antique cars. The trip was educational and enjoyable for all the students. It gave them the opportunity to experience the past up close in order to appreciate, and more deeply understand, the present.
