Grade 5 Music Class is Transformed into Jazz Bistro
Over the past two weeks, the Grade 5 students have been studying jazz music; specifically, the blues. Learning about syncopation and improvisation within the classroom setting, the Grade 5 students gained confidence to experiment with new and exciting sounds on their instruments, learning how to turn mistakes into opportunities. The Music room was then transformed into a Jazz Bistro, complete with fedoras, sunglasses and dimmed lights. The students were able to experience a jazz performance setting right here at RHMS, and learned that the Blues were anything but blue!
