A Tremendous Term 2

RHMS Students Recognized for Outstanding Achievements

RHMS held its second awards ceremony this year to recognize and thank our students for all their hard work in Term 2. The Term 2 Awards were given out to one student in each class and in each specialty subject who had made great strides this term. After March Break, award recipients are going to be joined by Mr. D’Amato on Tuesday, March 20th for a delicious and nutritious breakfast in celebration of their achievements.

The Principal’s Citizenship Award went to siblings Megan C and Brandon C for their community work in the Kids Pay It Forward organization. The organization gave Megan and Brandon the opportunity to sell jars of honey in order to raise funds for the YHCYF Seniors Centre. Megan, Brandon, and the other children in Kids Pay It Forward come up with the honey packaging, marketing, and sales ideas themselves! Amazing work!

Each grade’s speech winners won gold, silver, and bronze medals and the gold medalists had the opportunity to share their incredible speeches with the assembly. The ceremony presented the Principal’s Math Challenge winner and Science Expo winners with medals for their successes as well. Finally, an honourable mention was made for RHMS’ Junior and Senior Choirs for placing Gold and Band for placing Silver at the Kiwanis Music Festival – stayed tuned for more on that coming soon!

Thank you to all of our students for working so hard, and congratulations to everyone on another fantastic term at RHMS!
