York Region Science Fair Winners
RHMS Takes Top Medals at York Regional Science and Technology Fair
Last Saturday, our Grade 7 and 8 Science Expo winners competed at the York Regional Science and Technology Fair. The Fair is open to students from grades 7-12 from all of York Region. The projects this year covered a variety of topics, from cryogenics to creating more interactive gaming consoles. All of our RHMS students can be commended for their hard work and effort this year. They all did a wonderful job! The following students won a medal and/or award this year:
Grade 7
Stefan. T received a Silver Medal and was the recipient of the Environmental Award from EnviroAnalysis for his project on which type of biomass produces the most biogas.
Grade 8
Ethan and Steven received a Gold Medal and were the recipients of the Future Engineers Award for their project on creating a portable printer.
Ethan and Steven will not only be representing RHMS, but also all of York Region at the Canada-Wide Science Fair from May 12th to May 19th in Ottawa. We wish them the best of luck!
