Art Café 2018

Colourful paintings, illustration, photography and sculptures filled the halls at RHMS for the annual Art Café. The event combines graphic design, visual arts, and sculpture from students in grades three to eight.

"This is a great event for students to showcase their work, to demonstrate all that they've learned from all different subjects from painting and drawing to using Photoshop. Everything is included," said Computer teacher Mr. Washburn.

Preparation for the yearly event begins in the summer, and is worked on progressively through the start of the school year, and ramped up through the holiday season.

Both organizers, Mr. Washburn and Art/Drama teacher Mr. Lynch agree this year's event was a success, producing some of the best work to date.

"It was hard to decide who the winners were. All of the students' work [was] displayed, which is great," Mr. Washburn explained.

Thank you to all who participated in another successful year!
