Reflectors and Light

Students test out various reflectors

Grade 3s explored the properties and uses of reflective surfaces by experimenting with a variety of reflective surfaces, including foil, plastic and coloured paper.

The students determined what the qualities make a surface more or less reflective; they discovered that smoother (flat) and shinier surfaces produced more prominent reflections.

This activity allowed the children to make predictions, analyze and test their theories.
