Saint Nicholas Day
Montessori students celebrate St Nicholas Day
Students arrived Thursday morning to find clementines and mini cakes in their shoes as a part of class celebrations for St. Nicholas Day.
Preschoolers had an opportunity to collect their treats in a basket and set aside to share with families.
The date is observed in many western countries, such as Hungary and Romania. The traditions include finding shoes/stockings filled with gifts and sugary treats the morning of December 6.
