Grade 6s visit Canada's Capital
Grade 6 Ottawa Trip
RHMS Grade 6 students ventured to Canada's Capital of Ottawa for their year-end trip.
The trip included a visit to the Byward Market, Nature Museum of Ottawa, as well as the Supreme Court of Canada. Here, Grade 6s participated in a mock trial. Students had an opportunity to assume positions, set clear limits for counsel, as well as analyze and examine the characteristics of the various levels of the Canadian judicial system.
In addition to the mock trial, classes toured important Canadian landmarks, such as the war memorial, Parliament Hill grounds and the Diefenbunker Museum, where students viewed the Prime Minister’s Suite, the War Cabinet and the Bank of Canada Vault.
