l'Arbre Ungali

Grade 4s tell a story of hope in drought

RHMS Grade 4 students brought a traditional African folktale to life in their year-end French plays, "l'Arbre Ungali."

The story follows the animals' journeys while facing a drought, and come to ultimately find respect for each other in a difficult time. The characters include a lion, zebra and turtle, who await the end of athe dry spell.

This French play allowed Grade 4s to practice repetition, enhance their conversational French gestures, and gave students an opportunity to be creative in costume.
