Standing Tall with Grade 3s

“How tall can go you?” That was the question posed to grade threes during Science Olympics, this week.

In groups, children were challenged to build the tallest free-standing structure, using recipe cards and scissors in 30 minutes.

This STEM activity allowed students to explore the centre of gravity, building designs, and the stability of certain structures.
