RHMS French Students Celebrate Back History Month

In French class, RHMS students in grades 6 to 8 have been learning about Black History month. The students watched an educational video describing the amazing things black people have achieved in history.  The class discussed what they learned responding to each other in French. Their task was to choose one inspirational black person from the book “Young Gifted and Black” by Jamia Wilson and summarize their biography in a short paragraph.  After creating a poster of their selected person, each student presented a screen recording of their information followed by a class discussion post where feedback from their peers were welcomed. This task encouraged the students to consolidate their writing after reviewing how to properly conjugate verbs and practice their oral communication and pronunciation skills.
