May The Force Be With You

This May, RHMS grade 8 students went full force into studying Newton's Laws of motion. They applied Newton's laws in order to explain everyday activities - effectively transitioning from screen-time science to science in the real world. 

Students created videos and demonstrated the law of inertia, the effects of mass and acceleration on force and the law of action and reaction forces. They very quickly learned that a student at rest tends to stay at rest unless acted upon by external Science homework.
