Dot And Dash

The Grade 3 students at RHMS began their new math unit by coding Dot and Dash to perform a repeating pattern for a classmate to identify. They practiced communicating clearly about patterns by telling the core of the pattern in words and what it represented as letters. Students were able to use their prior knowledge of block coding to use a loop around the core of the pattern so that it can repeat forever!
