Collision Machines

RHMS Grade 4 students were experimenting with how energy is transferred and transformed. They created "Collision Machines" to show how different types of energy can be transferred through chain reactions.

A collision happens when one object runs into another. When objects collide, the energy transfers from one object to the other. Energy is the ability to make things happen. The amount of energy transferred during a collision depends on the weight and speed of the moving object.

The students enjoyed designing their structures and testing them out in class.
