Artistic Masterpieces

RHMS students in Grade 6, 7 & 8 focused on the specific elements of art this past month.

The Grade 6 students studied the elements of movement and form, practicing their optical illusion skills and creating an art piece that incorporated two or more types of illusions, including the three dimensional looking “bulging circles”.

Our Grade 7 students  studied colour theory and practiced combinations found within the colour wheel.  This led them to create a masterpiece that included at least four different colour schemes.  Variations of colours had to be included and the results were vibrant and eye-catching.

The Grade 8 students studied values, using different materials such as graphite, charcoal, and ink to develop techniques within different styles of art.  Their final piece of work included black and white, colour and mixed media.

All students worked hard on their pieces of art and the final creations were perfect!  Great job RHMS Artists!
