Earthquake Engineers

RHMS Grade 2 students worked on an "Earthquake Engineering'' project. The students learned about the effects of an earthquake and how engineers design structures by keeping in mind the effects of earthquakes.

Their task was to conduct a shaker table test to determine if their structures would remain standing. They began by creating a brainstorming map followed by drawing blueprints of their building design. Once the blueprints were completed, the students built their final structures and conducted their shake table test. It was a quaking good time!
