Early Language Development
The Montessori language curriculum helps children develop strong communication and literacy skills. Students are introduced to phonics, vocabulary, and early reading through hands-on activities.
Montessori materials allow children to explore language through sound recognition, word building, and storytelling.
Students learn about the development, comprehension, and proper use of the English language. Throughout our two-year program, preschool students learn regular monosyllabic base words, selected multi-syllabic words, general phonograms and, later, irregular words.
Montessori Mathematics
Montessori mathematics materials allow children to understand numbers through concrete experiences. Students work with hands-on materials that help them visualize mathematical concepts such as quantity, sequence, and place value.
These activities help children develop confidence in mathematics while building a strong academic foundation.
At RHMS students begin by learning to understand numbers and later mastering operations in addition/subtraction and multiplication/division.
