Building Bridges
Grade 2s design, create bridges
Grade 2s had an opportunity to become architects in science class.
Students worked in pairs to draft blueprints and construct their bridges. Requirements included: at least a ruler's length long, strong throughout, and able to hold the weight required.
The classes used wooden popsicle sticks, rope and tape to create their structures.
