Grade 3s have been investigating how metamorphic rocks are formed.

Students compared and tested properties of igneous rocks. They also investigated out sedimentary rocks -- how they are formed by observing different sediment sizes and how they mix and settle in layers in water.

Using clues to help identify rocks, children worked​ in small groups using different manipulatives and information cards to help make the rock cycle come alive.
