Budgeting Basics

RHMS Grade 2 students are practicing the basics of budgeting in their Money in Math workshops.

Children applied real life skills in the classroom, using "money" to budget everyday expenses like groceries.

The activities also allowed them to identify different types of money, as well as estimate sums and differences.

The workshop featured a number of centres, designed for students to practice their skills in creative ways, as well as in a fun and engaging environment.
