Students in the STEM After School Club are using technology to “clean up” common waste.
Children were able to program their Dash robot to pick up garbage, such as plastic bottles, cardboard boxes, egg cartons, glass bottles, and more.
The After School Club applied prior knowledge in coding to help Dash make proper choices while collecting and sorting waste. Students were able to program Dash to travel in the correct routes, pick up various-sized items and assist in disposing.
This experiment in programming allowed children to apply their knowledge in real life, real world scenarios.
