Members of RHMS' Drama Club are in character! For Halloween, students participated in "Hot Seat," fully embodying their costumes.
This drama strategy allows students/teachers in character to be interviewed by the rest of the class. The "hot seat" participant can explore their character’s perspectives, as well as consider aspects, such as motivation, voice/sounds and past experiences in relation to a theme, topic, event, or idea.
Classmates were encouraged to ask their hot seat participant challenging and thoughtful questions, in order to help forward the dramatization.
This exercise promotes critical thinking, engagement and commitment to their performance.
