Grade 3s transition from technology to tunes

Grade 3 students are translating lessons from mBots and coding, and applying a similar skillset to their music course.

Following lessons on programming robots to play the xylophone, as well as conducting patterning exercises with coding, children picked out patterns in their sheet music as well as listening examples in class.

Music class saw children reading sheet music, and practicing rhythm patterns. Essential rhythm patterns are common in music, like during a chorus. Students had an opportunity to work with peers, be engaged and active in their music learning.
