Getting Things Started
Grade six students were excited for their first Code HS assignment! They learned how to code basic commands using Python. They learned how to draw circles, move forwards and backwards on the canvas, and create lettering. For their first project, students were asked to create a holiday monogram. They generated a big block letter representing their first name with a background of alternating colours based on a holiday theme of Thanksgiving or Halloween. The wow factor was the special feature added to the images such as a pumpkin or a spider web.
