Let’s All Inspire Each Other
Last week, Grade 1 and 2 classes were in for a treat when they participated in a virtual author visit from children’s story book writer Shauntay Grant. The visit was hosted by Richmond Hill Public Libraries to celebrate Black History month. Students learned about the author and her storybooks in class a day prior to the live event. Shauntay Grant read her books “Africville” and “The Walking Bathroom” to the class. She also spoke about her experience as an African American author and her journey to publishing her books. There was time for a question and answer session which was enjoyed by all.
