Evolution Of Plant Breeding

RHMS Grade 8 Science students have been learning about plant breeding. In artificial selection, humans have the capacity to influence certain characteristics of organisms by selective breeding. One can choose desired parental traits determined by genes, which are then passed onto offspring.
The students researched the evolution of plant breeding and studied how humans have influenced the fruits and vegetables that we eat today and discovered that it took generations of work to get the perfect peach!
