Congratulations to Sierra, Emily, Grace, Nathan, Daisy and Adrienne who placed second and third in our Grade 7 and 8 category for their outstanding Science Expo Projects for the 2020-2021 school year.
The winning experiments showcased many dynamic projects such as creating a back sensor to help with pain and posture over time with a flex sensor and buzzer; creating an effective lock-in compartment for packages preventing theft from porch pirates; improvement of the efficiency of renewable energy no matter what temperature is used; creating an experiment to see if static electricity can be an effective way to remove microplastics to help maintain a green environment; creating an environmentally friendly plastic that is made out of casein a component that is found in milk, ammonia, and glycerin which is dissolvable by water and a more cost effective alternative to a plastic face shield; using bioplastics as an alternative for sanitizer packaging to maintain a green environment.
There were many creative projects this year! RHMS would like to acknowledge all of our Grade 7 and 8 students for their hard work showcasing the superb projects in this year’s Science Expo.
