Organism Designers

RHMS Grade 8 students researched modern day organisms and studied how adaptations allow for organisms to survive in their environments. They learned how climate change and environmental changes can lead to physical and behavioural adaptations in order for a species to continue to strive.

The Students became future organism designers and predicted the evolutionary changes that might occur to their chosen modern species and they linked this to current environmental trends including global warming, deforestation, arctic ice melting and habitat destruction.
