Watercolour Ballet

RHMS grade one students visited the Watercolour Ballet this week. They learned how their paintbrush is just like a ballerina - it wants to stay on its tippy toes!

They talked about how pushing the paintbrush down is like going to the “booty scooty dance” and nobody wants that! Each student practiced keeping the paintbrush on its tippy toes by “painting” the back of their hand. They then added water, or wake up juice, and practiced painting spirals.

They certainly had a lot of fun at the Watercolour Ballet!
