RHMS Montessori students learned about the importance of hand washing. They gained an understanding on how soap washes the germs away and how crucial it is to wash your hands after going outside, sneezing and using the restroom.
The children were excited to take part in an experiment using black pepper and dish soap. The pepper represented our germs. When applying the dish soap, it repelled the germs away. They had a great time taking turns dipping their fingers in the soap and touching the black pepper on the water.
After the germs cleared away, the water was clean again. The students understood how important it is to wash your hands. Clean hands are safe hands!
