Over the past few months, Grade 8 students have been nurturing seedlings in their classroom. Recently, they brought these young plants to a nearby community garden to transplant them into the soil. This experience gave students a valuable opportunity to understand the effort and dedication involved in growing and caring for a garden.

They gained practical, hands-on experience by preparing garden beds, planting seedlings, and removing weeds.  All produce harvested from these plants will be donated to the local food bank.

Through this project, students not only learned about gardening but also experienced the joy and importance of giving back to the community in a meaningful way.
