Paper Helicopter Project

RHMS Grade 7 students recently took part in a Paper Helicopter Math Project. Using simple materials such as paper, scissors, and paper clips, the students built paper helicopters to explore how changes in design impact motion and flight time.

During the project, the students practiced key math and science skills such as measuring, collecting data, and graphing results.  They tested variables including wing length, paper weight, and added mass, then analyzed their findings and compared the results with their classmates.

This engaging activity promoted teamwork, critical thinking, and curiosity.  The project offered a fun and meaningful way for students to apply mathematical concepts through hands-on experimentation.
