RHMS Grade 8 Students recently enjoyed an engaging and educational excursion to the David Dunlap Observatory in Richmond Hill.
During their visit, students had the opportunity to explore one of Canada’s most historic astronomical sites and learn about the fascinating world of space science. The students were introduced to key concepts in astronomy and the technology used by astronomers to observe distant celestial objects.
A highlight of the trip was touring the observatory grounds and learning about the impressive telescope housed within the dome. RHMS students gained insight into how astronomers have studied the night sky over the years and how modern discoveries continue to shape our understanding of the universe.
It was a memorable day filled with discovery, STEM learning and inspiration.
