Terry Fox Run

RHMS Grade 2 students have been learning about Respect for SOLE (Self, Others, Learning, and Environment) through the inspiring story of Terry Fox.  Building on this theme, our Grade 3 students launched their first writing project of the year.  Their project explores the life and legacy of Terry Fox, a Canadian hero admired around the world for his courage, perseverance, and compassion.

The students took part in the Terry Fox run bringing their classroom learning to life, connecting with Terry’s legacy, reflecting on the power of determination, and contributing to a meaningful cause.  Through their running and fundraising efforts, from Toonies for Terry to larger donations, our students helped raise an incredible $2,756 for the Terry Fox Foundation.

By participating in this annual event, the students are continuing Terry’s legacy of raising awareness and funds for cancer research. We’re so proud of our young innovators for showing heart, effort, and community spirit!
