Preschoolers Play With Parachutes In Primary Science

Mr. Bones and Mrs. Sadler welcomed the Montessori children to the primary science lab for a special visit. Hands-on sessions were designed with the winter break in mind and had these little scientists create their own mini parachutes, for a special toy at home. 

Each group of children enjoyed building and testing their parachutes in the science lab.  The children discovered how adding the right amount of weight to the bottom of the device helped the parachutes glide smoothly.  At the end of the session, Mrs. Sadler guided the Montessori classes through a balloon rocket demonstration.  Mr. Bones was especially impressed with the children’s predictions and observations.
