We Rise By Lifting Others

On their first day of winter break, a committed group of students braved the elements to come to school in order to attend an excursion to the Daily Bread Food Bank.  Students who were selected to attend this excursion all played a significant role in the success of this year’s food drive fundraiser.

At the venue, students participated in a Food Sorting Challenge in which they competed against four other schools from across the GTA.  Students gained an appreciation for just how much work was involved in taking a huge assortment of donations and categorizing and neatly packaging them in preparation for distribution to those in need.

RHMS was also recognized as being the top school for bringing in food donations for the CBC Sounds of the Season Food Drive.
