RHMS Poetry Contest
Powerful Poetry Pleases People Profoundly!
It is time for the second round of our Poetry Contest. The Grade Four, Five, and Six students are challenged to write a Haiku. Students can submit one poem to Ms. Iafrate’s mailbox in the elementary office by Thursday, January 19th at 5:00 p.m.
The expectations and rules will be posted in the elementary foyer. A panel will review all submissions and determine which student will be the recipient of the “Shel Silverstein” poetry medal, which will be awarded at the end of term assembly.
For Grades One to Three, check back in June for your chance to participate in this challenge. We look forward to being inspired by the beauty of the Haiku!
