Grade 6 students learn about the different Chinese Dynasties through a gallery walk.
On Friday, February 3, the grade 6 students went on a trip through history as they learned about all the different dynasties. Students had been making posters about certain dynasties all week, and it was their time to show them off during a gallery walk. The students walked between the two classrooms and examined all the dynasties, making notes in a chart in their notebooks. The posters stated the time period of the dynasty, the government or ruler, the people’s daily life, and the dynasty’s inventions and technological advancements.
The lesson ended with discussing what the students had learned. It was a great exercise to be able to learn a lot, and see other’s creativity!
