RHMS students have started their masterpieces for this year’s Art Café.
Work has started on the RHMS Art Café! The annual Art Show is one of the highlights of the school year and is a chance for all the students to show off their hard work and share their enthusiasm for Art with their families. If you have attended the show in the past, then you know what a big undertaking it is and also how much the children enjoy it.
This year, grades 3 – 8 have been learning about the Elements of Art such as, COLOUR, SPACE LINE, TEXTURE and SHAPE. Using these elements as well as new artistic techniques, students have been creating their masterpieces that all revolve around the same theme of “Pure Imagination”. They have focused on artistic styles such as Cubism, Pointillism, Expressionism, and Orphism just to name a few. All of the students are both excited and proud to display their masterpieces at the Art Festival. As in previous years, first place winners from each grade will have their work framed and proudly displayed on the walls of our school. In addition, artworks that best displays creativity or exhibits the best use of colour will also be recognized.
More news to come about the RHMS Art Festival will be available in the coming weeks.
