Congratulations to all students who participated in Performing Arts Week!
RHMS celebrated our Performing Arts Week from Monday, April 3rd to Friday, April 7th, 2017 and the turnout was fantastic. We had five wonderful and memorable shows.
The Montessori students brightened our days by sharing their “Happy” theme with the audience. Their performances left everyone in a positive mood and ready to dance!
The Grade 1 classes wowed the audience singing songs from three musicals; Matilda, The Wizard of Oz and Beauty and the Beast, ending with a Finale song in French. The Grade2 classes started the show with a beautiful song in French. They danced and sang messages about “What I am”, Anti-Bullying and “Healthy” themes.
The Grade 3 Classes impressed the audience with a theme of “Bandstand”. Music and dance moves from American Bandstand, Soul Train and Electric Circus. Students had fun performing and dancing to the music and ending the evening with a Finale song in French. The Grade 4 Classes started the evening with a song in French. They showcased “Blast through Time” with, Rock Stars, Funky Fresh and Futuristic music. All was enjoyed and brought most of the audience back in time.
The Grades 5 and 6 classes took us on an adventure in a Library scene called, “The Night the Books came alive!” The performances were outstanding and showcased the amazing talent of our students that thrilled the audience.
All the teachers and students worked hard together to put on an outstanding and successful show. RHMS students never stop to amaze one and all each year with their growing talents and self-confidence.
See you all next year!
