We Are Vertebrate Experts

Children in Room 111 took on the challenge to classify animals.
In room 111, children learned all about the Animal Kingdom. The children learned that animals are classified into vertebrate and invertebrate groups. Invertebrates have no backbones and vertebrates have backbones and are classified into 5 groups: mammals, fish, birds, reptiles and amphibians. We made a board to learn more about each group. The children studied the board every day and at the end of the month, we took off all the animal pictures from the board and quizzed each child to see if they were able to put the animals under the right group.

The children did such a good job and knew that dolphins are mammals, penguins are birds and salamanders are amphibians. Good work Children!
