The Art of Engineering

Grade 6 students created binder climbing robots in Ms. Ana Bernard’s exciting Senior Science class last week. Using Lego with software and hardware capable of building customized, programmable robots, the students engineered impressive creations! No two robots were alike, they were all engineered with unique creativity and practical problem-solving. Students waited in suspense as they drove their robots over ramps made of binders and cheered with accomplishment when their robots successfully made it over. They had wonderfully inventive ideas about how to protect their robots from falls, and how to prevent them from getting stuck in between binders. There are certainly future builders and designers in our midst at RHMS!
